About:
Hi, I’m Rachel, a fine artist and illustrator from Cornwall.

I draw inspiration from myth, fairytale and personal memories, using my work to reclaim agency within societal restraints. My work is predominantly figurative and explores themes of transformation, embodiment, and metamorphosis.

By referencing myths such as Apollo and Daphne, The Birth of Venus, and Leda and the Swan, I aim to highlight women’s empowerment and self-definition. My latest work investigates these themes further, focusing on the reclamation of their voices, while bridging the gap between the real and the unreal. Additionally, my interest in angels and the symbolism of wings stems from a desire to explore the human psyche and spirit.
